As temperatures begin to rise and real spring weather starts to make more than a fleeting appearance, parks and outdoor spaces are beginning to look all the more appealing. It’s only a matter of time before Frisbees are thrown, barbeques lit and blankets laid in the grand tradition of British park life.

Whilst it’s not entirely clear whether Blur’s 1994 hit was intended as a homage to our summers spent on the grass; the song has become somewhat of an anthem for revelers across the country. Quadrophenia’s Phil Daniels narrates the chorus in his inimitable cockney slur, whilst Blur sing the chorus – now synonymous with days spent outdoors without a care in the world.
