Fred Hits Brooklyn
Wednesday, 18th May 2011
Last week saw the opening of a brand new Fred Perry Surplus Shop in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, NY. Located at 306 Grand Street, the shop hosts a mixture of rare collectables and stand out pieces from past collections - with special prices ensuring it sits well alongside the area's gold mine of vintage and thrift stores.
Brooklyn and Williamsburg in particular has become known for its eclectic mix of culture, host to some of New York's best music venues, exhibitions and events. Upcoming highlights include the starting point for the 4th annual NYC Zombie Crawl at The Knitting Factory, and a much anticipated show from local punk band Japanther at the Williamsburg Music Hall. Squaring up to Manhattan in its array of restaurants and cafes from every corner of the globe, visitors to the area can pick up authentic Latin American cuisine from the infamous trucks at the Red Hook recreation area, or enjoy some home cooking from Walter Foods - located just down the street from the Fred Perry shop, at number 253 Grand Street.
