The Golden Lane Estate

For SS12, we chose the Golden Lane Estate in the City of London as the backdrop for our men's Laurel Wreath Collection shoot. Designed by architects Chamberlin, Powell and Bon, the Grade 2 listed council housing complex was created in the 1950s rejecting the traditional rows of residential housing in favour of a more contemporary urban village. The clean lines and graphic squares of colour on the buildings fit beautifully with the contemporary modernist direction of the SS12 Collection; reflecting how subtle and considered changes can make all the difference.
The SS12 Laurel Wreath Collection is the first to be designed by 6876 founder and designer Kenneth MacKenzie. Kenneth's acute attention to detail and preference for architectural silhouettes works perfectly with the Laurel Wreath ethos of sharp, attitudinal design.
