British Workwear 2012
Fred Perry, three times Wimbledon champion was the son of a Stockport cotton spinner. This season's British Workwear range draws on this heritage, inspired by the factory floor and the working men’s clubs of the 1930s and 40s.

Styles have a utility influence, fabrics are relaxed yet durable, colours are warm - greys, tonal greens and blues feature alongside autumnal browns; punctuated with copper hardwear and herringbone twill details. Pure wool tailored jackets are teamed with heavyweight canvas workwear trousers. Chunky rib and Aran cable knits are layered over soft chambray shirting and seasonal stripes. Shirts are finished with reinforced collars, cardigans with patch elbow details and heavy duty copper zips - all reminiscent of traditional work wear styles.

1940s bus ticket inspired prints are seen on sweats and t –shirts. The classic Royal Oxford Shirt with button down collar is given a seasonal update with reinforced panelling and a ‘ticket’ inspired woven patch.
Heavy duty scotch grain leathers and canvases are used across the accessories range – with both footwear and bags complete with copper hardwear and functional style details.
