World famous fashion photographer David Bailey is returning to his roots in the East End of London to showcase a range of his work spanning the last 50 years. The photographs, a personal collection and many previously unseen, document the changing physical and social landscape of the East End. The exhibition focuses on three periods, the 1960s, 1980s and recent years, capturing the people and the streetscapes of the ever evolving area.

Bailey, a working class lad from Leytonstone (East London) captured the ‘Swinging London’ of the 60s through his lens and created some of the most iconic images of the time. Not only a fashion photographer, Bailey has also been responsible for record album sleeve art for The Rolling Stones and Marianne Faithfull. A legend of our times, Bailey's work continues to inspire and influence.
David Bailey's East End opens this Friday the 6th July and runs until 5th August 2012. For more information on the exhibition including opening times and tickets, visit the Create London site HERE
