Friday saw The Horrors play their much anticipated show at the Garage, Islington, as headliners of the Subsonic Live Christmas Party. Performing to a sold-out venue, the band cemented their status as one of the UK's most pioneering and influential outfits of the last decade.
Opening with Changing the Rain from third album Skying, Faris and the group captivated the crowd from the opening note, playing an eclectic set including various highlights from their discography and ending with the synth-infused Moving Further Away. The intimate setting of the Garage formed the perfect surroundings for the set, showcasing the band's individual talents and their phenomenal growth since they first formed in 2005.
The next Subsonic Live will take place on Friday 17th February 2012. Tickets available soon.

Friday saw the launch of new live music concept Subsonic Live over at The Garage, London. Featuring headliners Factory Floor as well as special guests The Invisible, Hyetal and Phonica Records; the event was a huge success with the venue packed to capacity and some brilliant live performances. Factory Floor lived up to their reputation as one of the most original and potent forces in live music, with a relentless performance including their new single Two Different Ways.
DJ Rory Phillips (Durrr) kept the atmosphere electric in the main room, as former Silencio DJ and History Clock founder Nathan Gregory Wilkins took care of the Discovery Room. Following on from the launch will be a very special Subsonic Christmas Party, with headliners The Horrors now confirmed. Fred Perry Subculture will be launching new live music concept Subsonic Live over at The Garage in Islington, London on 18th November. Celebrating our unique relationship with music and street style since the 1950s; the venue will host an eclectic line-up of acts never before seen on the same line-up. The launch party sees the unstoppable Factory Floor take over the main room alongside dance act Hyetal and DJ sets from two of London's best club nights: Rory Phillips of Durr and Dollop.
The top floor of The Garage will become the Legends Room, with London's Phonica Records taking over the space. On the ground floor Subculture will host the Discovery Room; kicking things off with Nathan Gregory Wilkins. Wilkins is the founder of the eclectic History Clock label and has recently returned from his DJ residency at film director David Lynch's acclaimed new club Silencio.
