The Original Fred Perry Shirt

In 1952, Fred Perry created the tennis shirt. He made it from a breathable cotton piqué and he asked it to be cut slim, so it moved with him. He added the neat and distinctive ribbed collar and cuffs, and a 2-button placket to keep the collar flat. Finally, he embroidered a Laurel Wreath – the symbol of the Wimbledon Champion – on the chest. The M3 is that shirt. The first he ever made and the one that makes everything else we do possible.
