Stewart Tartan Shirt Long Sleeve

Long sleeved tartan shirts were a staple of 50s Ivy League fashion which British modernists quickly adopted for their refined look. This shirt, with its bold Stewart Black tartan pattern was popular throughout the 60s and 70s with the punk and skinhead movements – a subversive, anarchic adoption of a formal design. We’re now making this shirt as a reissue of one of our classic archive designs: 100% cotton with a button down collar, a back box pleat for flexibility, larger “2 hole” button holes and buttons in real mother of pearl. We’ve finished this shirt with our embroidered Laurel Wreath on the chest.
