Wool Duffle Coat

The duffle coat takes its name from the wool made in the town of Duffel, in Antwerp, Belgium. Today, the coat is still best known for its toggle fastenings, which were originally designed to be easily unfastened by sailors at sea. The Navy-issue duffle coat later re-emerged in the 1950s and 60s, after it appeared in army surplus stores. We’ve used an 80% wool blend for our version, and added a registered Oxford tartan lining. The wooden toggle, self-fabric patch pockets and large hood create the classic duffle look, while corozo buttons, herringbone tape trims and our embroidered Laurel Wreath patch give our own unique finish.
